1. Purpose
DrPA Secure has been operating since 2014, providing healthcare solutions to secure settings including Immigration Removal Centres and Prisons within the UK. We are committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking within our business and across our supply chains. This statement outlines the steps taken to ensure compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
2. Scope
This statement applies to all employees, GPs, contractors and other business partners involved in our operations, particularly within secure environments such as Immigration Removal Centres and Prisons.
3. Definitions
- Modern Slavery: Encompasses slavery, servitude, forced labour, and human trafficking as defined by the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
- Human Trafficking: The act of recruiting, transporting, transferring, harbouring, or receiving individuals through coercion, abduction, fraud, or deception for exploitation.
4. Organisational Commitment
DrPA Secure works closely with the Home Office, NHS Trusts, and private providers to deliver high-quality healthcare services to vulnerable individuals within secure settings. We are dedicated to ensuring that no part of our business operations or supply chains is involved in modern slavery or trafficking.
5. Due Diligence and Risk Assessment
In partnership with government bodies and private providers, we conduct comprehensive due diligence to assess and manage risks related to modern slavery. Our processes include:
- Regular reviews of supplier agreements to ensure compliance with ethical standards.
- Risk assessments of high-risk supply chain areas, particularly those related to secure settings.
- Audits of suppliers where required to ensure alignment with the Modern Slavery Act.
6. Key Requirements
- To uphold our zero-tolerance stance on modern slavery, DrPA Secure will:
- Educate our employees about modern slavery risks through continuous training.
- Ensure that all contracts with suppliers and partners reflect our commitment to ethical practices.
- Provide robust channels for whistleblowing, enabling staff and partners to report any concerns related to modern slavery.
7. Training
We provide training to all employees, equipping them with the skills to recognise and respond to the signs of modern slavery. This training ensures that our staff are vigilant, particularly in high-risk environments such as Immigration Removal Centres and Prisons.
8. Monitoring and Reporting
We conduct regular monitoring of our supply chain, reporting any incidents or concerns to the appropriate authorities. Our modern slavery prevention efforts are reviewed annually to ensure continued compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and industry best practices.
9. Approval and Review
This statement has been approved by the Executive Business Manager of DrPA Secure Ltd and will be reviewed annually or as necessary in response to changes in legislation or operational risks.
