Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Registered Manager to take leadership of a Children’s Home dedicated to supporting young people with physical disabilities and complex health needs. This role is integral to ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Registered Manager for the Children’s Home, overseeing all aspects of regulatory compliance and service delivery in line with Ofsted requirements.
- Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the operational management of the home.
- Lead a team to deliver person-centred care, promoting independence, dignity, and personal fulfilment for each young person.
- Spearhead the initial Ofsted registration of the home and ensure ongoing compliance and quality improvement.
- Develop and implement training programs to support the growth and competence of staff members.
- Participate in the 24-hour on-call rota, providing first-line support and guidance as required.
Person Specification
- Proven experience in managing a children’s residential setting.
- Sound knowledge of Ofsted standards and the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.
- Experience supporting children with physical disabilities and complex health needs.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare (or working towards).
