Job Description
Purpose of the Role:
To provide excellent care and support to residents, making sure they feel safe, respected, and well looked after
Main Duties:
- Personal Care:Â Help residents with tasks like washing, bathing, dressing, and using the toilet. Always follow their individual care plans and be kind and supportive.
- Legal and Safety Compliance: Understand and follow all safety and care regulations (like Health & Safety laws, COSHH, Care Standards).
- Care Planning & Medication: Help create and maintain each resident’s care plan. You may also give medications (if trained and required) and record this properly.
- Teamwork with Other Professionals:Â Work with doctors, nurses, or therapists to make sure each resident gets the care they need.
- Monitoring Well-being:Â Watch for any changes in residents’ physical or mental health, report any issues right away, and keep records updated.
- Confidentiality:Â Keep all personal information about residents private.
- Emotional & Social Support:Â Be patient and understanding. Encourage residents to join in activities and outings, helping them stay socially and emotionally healthy.
- Housekeeping Support:Â Change beds, tidy rooms, do light cleaning, and report any maintenance issues to help keep the home clean and welcoming.
- Meal Assistance:Â Help serve meals and drinks politely and support residents who need help eating or drinking.
- Team Contribution Attend training and meetings to help you improve and support the team.
- Safeguarding:Â Report any signs or suspicions of abuse immediately to your manager, who will escalate it to the board.
Extra Responsibilities:
- Mandatory training is up to date.
- Personal accountability for own training and development needs

- Willingness to develop new skills.
