Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Substance Misuse Nurse to join our team within the CANOL Offender Intervention Service, supporting individuals across South Wales who are engaged with the criminal justice system and experiencing drug and/or alcohol misuse.

Key responsibilities include:

Undertaking comprehensive clinical and psychosocial assessments
Delivering evidence-based substance misuse interventions
Supporting detoxification and recovery programmes where appropriate
Developing and implementing individualised care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Working in partnership with probation services, custodial settings, and healthcare providers
Contributing to improved health outcomes and the reduction of reoffending

Person Specification

Essential Qualifications
• Registered Nurse (General or Mental Health)
• Current NMC Registration
• Evidence of continuous professional development

Essential Experience
• Experience working with substance misuse or addictions.
• Experience supporting vulnerable or complex populations.
• Clinical assessment and care planning experience.
